William Mayer

William E. Mayer is the founder of Park Avenue Equity Partners. He was a Professor and Dean at the College of Business, University of Maryland, and at the College of Business, University of Rochester. Bill worked for The First Boston Corporation (Credit Suisse), where he was President and CEO. Bill is on the board of BlackRock Capital Investment Corporation. Bill was Chairman of the Aspen Institute, and Chairman of the Board of the University of Maryland. He is also a board member of Rosemore Inc., Lirio, Inc., Renovo Concepts, Friends of Florence, Washington Institute and Aspen Institute Italia. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Governors at the Pardee RAND Graduate School, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and an advisory council member at Harlem Academy. Bill was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He holds a BS and an MBA from the University of Maryland.

Bill Hambrecht

William R. Hambrecht is chairman of WR Hambrecht + Co., which he founded in 1998.  Bill has invested in about 700 companies during a career spanning six decades. He helped persuade Google to use an auction process for its initial public offering (IPO) in 2004, instead of a more traditional method using banks and other financial companies to find buyers.  He employed the OpenIPO model, using a modified Dutch auction process to allow anyone, not just investing insiders, to buy stock in new companies, including Overstock.com, Ravenswood Winery, and Interactive Brokers.  Hambrecht pioneered startup investing in Silicon Valley, helping to take Apple Computer, Genentech and Adobe Systems public in the 1980s with his earlier San Francisco-based company Hambrecht & Quist. Hambrect is a 1957 graduate of Princeton University, where he received an A.B. in History.  Mr. Hambrecht served on the boards of firms including Motorola and AOL, and currently is a member of the board of directors at Buoy Health and PatientsLikeMe.  

Michael Huyghue

Michael Huyghue (HEWG) brings broad experience in managing talent and operations in the professional sports industry.  He was twice named to the Sports Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 Sports Executives. Mr. Huyghue authored Behind the Line of Scrimmage - Inside the Front Office of the NFL and helped pave the way for other African Americans successfully navigating executive management positions in professional sports. He is the Managing Director of North America for General Sports Worldwide, a full service sports marketing and management agency headquartered in Rochester, Michigan, where he leads the diversity initiatives division and provides consulting services for elite sports teams and their commissioners, including the NFL.  He directs the player representation division.  Mr. Huyghue serves as a Visiting Professor at Cornell University Law School. 

Harold S Bradley

Former chief investment officer with broad experience in mutual funds, foundations and endowments, exchange regulation, and securities trading.  Mr. Bradley is recognized as an innovator in computer trading and investment technologies, and market microstructure. He offered Congressional testimony on multiple regulatory topics.  Mr. Bradley served as the Chief Investment Officer of the $2bb Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, and began his investment career at American Century Investors as head of equity trading and built a globally recognized trading operation. He advised private companies Archipelago, LLC, W.R. Hambrecht's Open IPO, StarMine and other private companies. At American Century, Bradley managed American Century Tomorrow, a team of software and quantitative engineers employing early artificial intelligence techniques, including differential evolution optimization, fuzzy logic, inference engines and pattern recognition to manage American Century growth mutual funds.

George Hambrecht

Dr. George Hambrecht is an associate professor of anthropology and director of undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland College Park.  He earned his PhD in Anthropology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2011.  Mr. Hambrecht serves on the board of the Human Ecodynamics Research Center, and formerly served as a member of the external review board for the National Science Foundation, Office of Polar Programs, Arctic Social Science Program and the external review board of the National Oceanographic Partnership Program, Marine Arctic Ecosystem Study.  He also acted as a research fellow for the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural History.   

Eugene Yates

Mr. Yates serves Ironstone Properties, Inc. (IRNS) as chief financial officer (CFO). He acts in the same role for W.R. Hambrecht+Co., a venture capital company, since 2014. Prior to his role at WRH, Mr. Yates was interim Financial Planning and Analysis Director at an Asia focused asset management company.  He formerly was the CFO for Wells Fargo Securities.  He also worked for Charles Schwab & Co as Vice President Fixed Income Finance and Director of Financial Regulatory Reporting.  Mr. Yates is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a B.S. in Business Administration from USC.
